It is in the Church, in communion with all the baptized, that the Christian fulfills his vocation. From the Church, he receives the grace of the sacraments that sustain him on the "way." From the Church, he learns the example of holiness and recognizes its models and source in the all-holy Virgin Mary (Cataechism of the Catholic Church, 2003)
This grace proper to the sacrament of Holy Matrimony is intended to perfect the couple's love and to strengthen their indissoluble unity. By this grace, they "help one another to attain holiness in their married life adn in welcoming and educating their children." (ibid, 1641)
The Carmelite Nuns of Salt Lake city want to assist in you personally in your efforts in grow in holinessin the blessed and sacred vocation of Matrimony by inviting you to participate in the spiritual renewal of marriage and famiy life as a member of the Association of the Child Jesus for Marriages and Family Life.

SPIRITUAL BENEFITS FOR PERPETUAL MEMBERS AND THEIR CHILDREN
1. A Lifetime share in the prayers and goodworks of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Carmelite Community of Salt Lake City.
2. All members will be prayed for at their Mass, Communion and Divine Office by the nuns every Tuesday.
3. A Votive Mass of the Holy Family will be offered for members six times a year.
4. The Patronal feast of the association is the feast of the Holy Family, celebrated during the Octave of Christmas. All members and their children will be very specially remembered in the Mass, Communion and Divine Office and all the spiritual exercises of the nuns on that day.
