The main financial support of the monastery is the Annual Fair, which is normally held on the third Sunday in September (September 15, 2024) from 11:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.  5K Run starts at 8 am on the Fair day.  Golf tournament this year is on Sunday September 8, 2024.

We have many ethnic foods such as Mexican food, Italian food, and Asian Cuisine as well as burgers and hot dogs, and ice cream. In addition to the wonderful food, every hour there is entertainment such as Live Auction, the famous New York City based Pianist Emily Floor, Utah Basque Dancers, Utah Pipe Band, the OPA Greek Dancers, The Venezuelan dancers and the Chinese Lion Dance. We will also proudly present the new exciting Carmelite Express Train and the full of fun Ducky Derby. You and your children will be very pleased with all of the activities we offer at the fair.

There are rides and games of all sorts for the children. There are handicraft items made by the Sisters and friends of the Community. Each year we have approximately 3000 patrons come to the fair and our volunteer work force reaches around 300 people of all ages. Part of the entertainment consists in one hour and thirty minutes of Live Auction. The prizes are beautiful hand-made art works by the nuns and donations of gift certificates and items from businesses in the Salt Lake area and Park City areas. We have also hold a silent auction which goes on all day and is very popular.

The behind-the-scenes activity in getting ready for the fair requires many hours for a week before and a week afterwards for clean-up. All able-bodied persons are welcome to participate in this activity. The Set-up begins this year on Saturday, September 9th at 9am and everyday thereafter

This year besides the beautiful automobile 2023 Kia Sportage offered as our special Prize Giveaway, the Carmelite Fair proudly presents many interesting and popular items such as the Traeger Grill/BBQ smoker, an Apple iPad, beautiful hand-made artworks by our own Carmelite Nuns, gorgeous pieces of jewelry, Sports Tickets and Memorabilia, U of U signed Rose Bowl season football, Ski getaway basket, Hind Quarter of Beef, and many more unique items listed for Live and Silent Auctions.

Our Carmelite Fair has become a cultural event for the city of Holladay. Thanks to the generosity of many faithful friends and donors, a new addition to the Fair was established in 2010- the 5K Run or Walk "Run for the Nuns - Race for Grace." So this is our eleventh 5K Run/Walk "Run for the Nuns" - "Race for Grace."

Besides the 5K Run/Walk, we would like to introduce you to all golf lovers: the Golf Tournament held on Saturday September 8th. This is a chance for you, golfers, to show your support for the nuns by doing what you like. The tournament will be at the beautiful Old Mill Golf Course with the Shotgun at 8:00 am.
